Where and when will the conference be held?
The Functional Amyloid Meeting will be held from the 16th-17th of September 2027 at the CSSB on the DESY campus in Hamburg, Germany. We are planning a dinner event for early arrivals on the 15th of September.
Will it be as fund and informative as last time?
We certainly do everything in our power to make this meeting as fun and engaging as possible. We do rely on all attendees to be open and engaging with our formats.
Where can we stay? Is there a hotel nearby?
We secured several rooms at the DESY hostel for you (reserved until 18th of August). For this please fill out this form, select „pre-reserved rooms“ and put in „Functional Fibril Friends 2027“ for the workshop name and „FPF Functional Protein Fibrils (CSSB-F)“ in the field that asks for the DESY Group. The DESY Hostel is very close to the Venue.

Will I get a certificate of participation in the conference?
Yes. You will receive a certificate of attendance by email after the conference.
What are the social events at the conference?
We have a dinner on the day before the conference officially starts for the early arrivals. In the morning of the first day we will have a short networking round to get familiar with all the new faces. During lunch we will have a round of „hot topic“ discussions and of course the social Postersession on the first evening that will feature snacks and drinks. We will also have a second social Postersession during the lunch break on the second day of the conference.
Will lunch and dinner be provided at the conference?
Snacks during the coffee breaks for all days of the conference will be provided and is included in the registration fee. We will also provide vegan/vegetarian meal options.
Lunches are included. A light dinner will be available during the Poster Session on night one
You have the option of joining us for the pre-conference dinner on the 15th.
How many people can attend?
We have a maximum of 179 seats in the lecture hall.
Abstract Submission and Posters
What is the deadline for abstract submission?
Abstract submission deadline for short talks and Posters is the May 1st.
What poster size recommended?
The recommended size is A0 in portrait.
Can there be more than one presenter?
Yes.
I changed my mind about participating in the poster session, can I withdraw?
Yes, withdrawal of poster presentation is possible.
Will I get a certificate of participation in the poster session? If yes, when will I get it?
Yes, you will receive a certificate of attendance including your contribution after the conference.
How much is the registration fee?
These are the preliminary registration fees. The conference dinner can be purchased as an extra ticket.
Students early bird: 270€
Students regular: 320€
Postdocs/Faculty early bird: 350€
Postdocs/Faculty regular: 450€
Industry early bird: 600€
Industry regular: 700€
